LA DIMENSIONE COMUNITARIA DELLA PARROCCHIA
21 04 2009Premessa
Nell’ambito di una riflessione sulle motivazioni e le finalità dell’agire politico in generale e della conduzione della cosa pubblica in modo più specifico, mi è stato chiesto di offrire un contributo sui criteri ai quali si ispira la parrocchia nello svolgere la sua missione. Questa richiesta penso sia motivata anche dal fatto che la parrocchia viene percepita come realtà che vive la sua presenza a Castelfranco di Sopra nel segno dell’appartenenza alla comunità . Ho accettato, perciò, di illustrare le ragioni che fanno da riferimento all’impostazione della vita e dell’attività della parrocchia e che, secondo il mio giudizio, possono esserlo anche per chi svolge un “servizio” a vantaggio della collettività . Anche perché personalmente sono convinto che ogni impegno verso gli altri, tanto più quando si tratta di assumere responsabilità pubbliche, ha bisogno di essere ispirato da forti motivazioni ideali, senza le quali si rischia di cadere in esercizio del potere fine a se stesso, finalizzato spesso a favorire interessi personali o di parte. Mi preme inoltre precisare che siamo nel campo dell’opinabile, dove anche il riferimento alla fede va visto solo in ordine a “valori”, che sono patrimonio di tutti e appartengono comunque alla dimensione umana della vita, dentro un progetto di uomo in cui tutti possono riconoscersi.
In questo mio intervento è pertanto del tutto assente l’intenzione di entrare nel dibattito politico in corso fra i diversi schieramenti, nei confronti dei quali la parrocchia ha una posizione di assoluta equidistanza, lasciando la scelta alla libertà dei singoli.
I contenuti della riflessione
Essere parrocchia oggi cosa significa?….
Me lo sono chiesto (non da ora) di fronte ad una società che presenta molti aspetti di crisi, ma che aspetta anche delle risposte.
Gli aspetti di crisi sono sotto gli occhi di tutti, a cominciare dalla crisi economica, ma che investe anche settori importanti della convivenza umana, quali la famiglia, i rapporti interpersonali, il mondo giovanile, la scuola etc…Tutto ha origine dal fatto che viviamo un periodo in cui sono presenti, come è stato autorevolmente detto (p. Bartolomeo Sorge), elementi di inciviltà , riconducibili alla “inciviltà dell’individualismo, dell’utilitarismo, degli interessi contrapposti, dei nazionalismi esasperati, degli egoismi eretti a sistema”.
Anziché limitarsi alla sterile denuncia è fondamentale reagire con impegno, assumendosi in positivo ognuno le proprie responsabilità . Il compito è alla portata di tutti, di ogni persona di buona volontà ..in particolare lo è di chi in seno alla società svolge mansioni di guida. La parrocchia è sicuramente una di queste realtà .
In conformità alla propria natura, essa è chiamata a farlo attraverso l’annuncio del Vangelo. C’è un passaggio molto importante della “Novo millennio ineunte”, la lettera apostolica con la quale Giovanni Paolo II° indicava alla Chiesa il programma per il nuovo millennio. Dopo essersi chiesto: “Che cosa dobbiamo fare?”, il papa scrive: “Non ci seduce certo la prospettiva ingenua che, di fronte alle grandi sfide del nostro tempo, possa esserci una formula magica. No, non una formula ci salverà , ma una Persona, e la certezza che essa ci infonde:Io sono con voi! Non si tratta, allora, di inventare un “nuovo programma”. Il programma c’è già : è quello di sempre, raccolto dal Vangelo e dalla viva Tradizione. Esso si incentra, in ultima analisi, in Cristo stesso, da conoscere, amare, imitare, per vivere in lui la vita trinitaria, e trasformare con lui la storia fino al suo compimento nella Gerusalemme celeste. E’ un programma che non cambia col variare dei tempi e delle culture, anche se del tempo e della cultura tiene conto per un dialogo vero e una comunicazione efficace” (N:M:I: n. 29).
La parrocchia non può certo sottrarsi a questo compito, che costituisce la ragione stessa della sua vita e della sua missione dentro la realtà in cui si trova ad agire. E’ fondamentale, però, che essa abbia la consapevolezza che tale compito è affidato alla comunità parrocchiale nel suo insieme e che il modo più vero e autentico di adempiere ad esso è dato dalla testimonianza, che la impegni a esprimere ciò in cui crede principalmente attraverso lo stile di vita. Nel citato documento, Giovanni Paolo II° lo sottolinea con queste parole: “Fare della Chiesa la casa e la scuola della comunione: ecco la grande sfida che ci sta davanti nel millennio che inizia, se vogliamo essere fedeli al disegno di Dio e rispondere anche alle attese profonde del mondo” (ivi n. 43). Ecco allora che diventa decisivo per la parrocchia essere e mostrarsi comunità , vorrei dire più precisamente, costruirsi come comunità , nella consapevolezza che rimane comunque un traguardo da raggiungere e non sarà mai raggiunto completamente, perché affidato ai limiti e alle resistenze che sono proprie della condizione umana.
A me piace molto, perciò, pensare la parrocchia nei termini descritti in un altro importante documento, questa volta dei vescovi italiani. Nel “piano pastorale” della CEI per gli anni ottanta “Comunione e Comunità ” troviamo scritto: “Inserita nella popolazione di un territorio, la parrocchia è la comunità cristiana che ne assume la responsabilità . Ha il dovere di portare l’annuncio della fede a coloro che vi risiedono e sono lontani da essa, e deve farsi carico di tutti i problemi umani cha accompagnano la vita di un popolo, per assicurare il contributo che la Chiesa può e deve portare. Così essa è dentro la società non solo luogo della comunione dei credenti, ma anche segno e strumento di comunione per tutti coloro che credono nei veri valori dell’uomo: simile alla fontana del villaggio, come amava dire papa Giovanni, a cui tutti ricorrono per la loro sete” (ivi, n. 44).
Da questa visione della parrocchia mi sembra di dover far emergere i seguenti criteri ispiratori:
1 - Per fare comunità , prima di chiederci cosa fare, quali iniziative prendere occorre lasciarsi guidare da quello che il papa chiama “spiritualità di comunione”, un convinto atteggiamento interiore, cioè, che deve ispirare comportamenti e iniziative che vadano nel senso di desiderare che si instauri un clima di intesa fra le persone, fra i gruppi, fra le associazioni, frutto di rispetto reciproco, di dialogo, di attenzione gli uni per gli altri. E’ perciò fondamentale che facciano da guida due principi fondamentali:
a - avere come obbiettivo la promozione del bene della persona umana. Come si dice, al centro deve essere posto l’uomo, ogni uomo e tutto l’uomo.. Da questo principio nasce l’attenzione per gli ultimi. I più in crisi, i più in difficoltà , i più svantaggiati non devono essere emarginati, ma fatti oggetto di maggiori attenzioni. Dicendo questo penso soprattutto ai giovani e ai ragazzi, che vivono la cosiddetta “emergenza educativa”, agli anziani soli, agli extra comunitari.
b - agire avendo di vista il “bene comune”, inteso come “l’insieme di quelle condizioni della vita sociale che permettono sia alla collettività sia ai singoli membri di raggiungere la propria perfezione più pienamente e più celermente”. Avendo ben chiaro che “il bene comune non consiste nella semplice somma dei beni particolari di ciascun soggetto del corpo sociale: essendo di tutti e di ciascuno è e rimane comune, perché indivisibile e perché soltanto insieme è possibile raggiungerlo, accrescerlo e custodirlo, anche in vista del futuro…rimane a servizio dell’essere umano, bene di tutti gli uomini e di tutto l’uomo” (v. Compendio della Dottrina Sociale della Chiesa, nn. 164 - 165).
2 - Deve essere in rapporto stretto col territorio in cui vive. Il che significa:
a)- saperne riconoscere e valorizzare l’identità umana e culturale, facendo riferimento alla propria storia e alle proprie tradizioni non per chiudersi in se stessa, ma per dare significato al presente e aprirsi al futuro ricevendo dal passato quelle indicazioni che possono aiutare a capire la strada da percorrere.
b) - essere luogo di accoglienza e di apertura. Soprattutto le strutture della parrocchia devono essere impostate e gestite come servizio a tutta la comunità .
3 - L’attenzione alla persona deve portare a valorizzare e rispettare le diversità e le caratteristiche dei singoli e dei gruppi. Comunità non significa uniformità , ma possibilità offerta ad ognuno a contribuire al bene di tutti con l’esprimere le proprie potenzialità , sapendo riconoscere e accogliere punti di vista, modi di fare, sensibilità diverse, nell’ottica, come già ricordato, del bene comune.
