Passati oltre 2 anni dall’omicidio della giornalista russa Anna Stepanova Politkovskaja, si è concluso il processo con l’assoluzione dei 4 imputati.
Presso la Corte Militare dell’Arbat moscovita è andato in scena uno spettacolo grottesco: presenti alla sbarra 3 balordi ceceni e un poliziotto russo radiato a causa dei suoi legami con la malavita (rinomitati la Cosca Lasagna, per via del ristorante dove erano soliti ritrovarsi). I quattro indagati erano accusati di complicitità nell’assassinio, per altro con un ruolo del tutto marginale. Latitavano, invece, (e latitano tuttora) il mandante e l’esecutore.
Immancabili le insurrezioni della stampa (ovviamente non Russa, a parte le rare eccezioni come la Novaja Gazeta, il quotidiano della stessa Politkovskaja), non tanto per l’assoluzione, quanto per metodo con cui è stata portata avanti l’indagine, definita frettolosa e lacunosa, tanto da rendere evidente la volontà di lasciare questo caso insoluto.
La conclusione del processo ha però almeno un aspetto positivo, ha riportato l’attenzione dell’opinione pubblica mondiale sulla questione dei diritti umani e civili nella Russia di Putin… almeno in quei 30 secondi di servizio al Tg.
