La crisi sociale, l’attrito politico, l’espansionismo c’erano anche nel 1913, come nel 1870. La domanda da porsi quindi non è Cosa abbia scatenato la Grande Guerra, ma Chi ne abbia sancito la necessità. Ed ecco che bastano tre colpi di pistola, sparati in un caldo pomeriggio di Giugno a Sarajevo, a rovesciare le teorie “scientifiche” della storiografia postmoderna. Il 28 Giugno 1914 l’erede al trono d’Austria, Francesco Ferdinando, viene assassinato da un nazionalista serbo, Gavrilo Princip. Oggi ne parliamo come fosse un episodio marginale, un Casus Belli, in termine tecnico, che Vienna sfruttò per fare la voce grossa a Belgrado. Forse perchè i suoi sudditi la persero? Non sarebbe la prima volta che le “inesattezze” dei vincitori diventano storia…
